Hi I’m Daniel Browne,
I work with busy executives, investment bankers and lawyers to train them in high performance and productivity.
I've created a program for people who work over 50 hours a week to help them deal with and perform better in high pressure environments and have more time and energy.
I'm a former investment banker and have spent 7 years working in high pressure demanding environments working 50-100 hrs a week. I'm also an experienced leadership and productivity coach.
When I started my first job in investment banking I experienced the issues that many high performance workers face: long hours, all nighters, unpredictable last minute deadlines, cancelled weekends and social events and a lot of stress.
I thought the only way to be do well in my job was to be able to sleep less and more efficiently so that I would have more time to deal with the long working hours. So I went on a mission...
I had always read about eastern practices such as yoga and meditation, and had tried Tai Chi but I now became very interested in how these could help me deal with the stresses and pressures of work.
Over the course of four years I researched various practices on improving performance and productivity. I studied yoga, tai chi, hypnotherapy, neuro science and neuro linguistic programming. I tested advanced breathing exercises, mind exercises, self hypnosis and chi techniques.
Over that period I saw some great results: I learnt how to sleep better, I learnt to become more productive, more focused and, one of the most surprising but most powerful, I learnt how to increase my energy. Not only did I have more energy to get things done in and out of work, I found myself more productive in the evening, when I would usually have a lull, and able to work longer into the night.
At the time I pretty much kept it to myself, it was my secret for keeping up with the high performers at work (some of them worked like machines so I felt I needed something to compete on). However when I left corporate finance to become a leadership coach I saw the value in helping executives and leaders around the world manage their time and productivity and realized I had a created a pretty good program.
Nowadays I don’t work ridiculously long hours but the results of more energy and more productivity give me a lot more free time.
